Hi, I’m Cássius.
You can see my story in details on my first blog post – how I’m breaking the mold.
But in summary, I have a purpose, lots of goals, plans, projects, and dreams. But they’re always changing.
So I prefer to stick to this: I live to become the best I can be and to help others do so.
I see life as a game. In order to play it better, I gathered everything I know about self-development, organization, project management, business strategy, etc, to create My Personal Management System. This is constantly updated and is my foundation to think strategically, make decisions, plan and act on a daily basis. (neurotic? just a little bit…)
Therefore, today I “play life” by betting on my character – the real Cássius – and using this affection for theories, mental models, and systems, as something practical.
1) At 16, I started to work and to live alone, quickly needing to learn what it means to be autonomous and responsible for becoming who I wanted to be.
2) At 17, I quit my corporate job and opted out of my first-choice, debt-free university to pursue an entrepreneurial career through Praxis, a modern educational program that helps me accelerate my career, learn the skills I need, and make college irrelevant.
3) Nowadays, at 18, I’m doing Sales and Customer Success for Metadata.io, a marketing startup in Silicon Valley.I’m also sharing my trajectory on this blog and trying to figure out how to live a free, meaningful and satisfactory life.
I’m sharing my trajectory as a first step to accomplish that purpose – become the best I can be and help others do so. Also so you can help me figure out how to live a free, meaningful and satisfactory life. 🙂
WHO AM I
I value most of all autonomy, authenticity, and self-improvement.
My main interests are: futurism, psychology, self-knowledge, self-development, systems thinking, mental models, education, entrepreneurship, startups, sales, marketing, economics, philosophy, and libertarianism.
You can learn more about my current job in this post.
